Brunswick Community Hospital???s pulmonary rehabilitation program is an education and exercise program designed to help individuals who have lung disease or serious breathing difficulties get back to the life and the activities they enjoy.
Our staff of registered nurses and certified respiratory therapists will teach you about your lungs, and they will show you how to exercise and do daily activities with less shortness of breath. Most importantly, our staff will help you learn how to ???live??? better with your lung condition.
The pulmonary rehabilitation program is a 10-week program that includes:
  • Supervised exercise instruction
  • Functional training for daily life activities
  • Energy conservation tips and techniques
  • Breathing retraining
  • Stress management
  • Medication education
People with the following conditions may benefit from participating in Brunswick Community Hospital???s pulmonary rehabilitation program:
  • Shortness of breath
  • Asthma
  • Chronic bronchitis
  • Emphysema
