Supply - The summer months are very hot and busy, which can mean special issues for people with diabetes or pre-diabetes. On Thursday, July 16, Dr. Lori Church of Sunset Beach Family Medicine will offer tips on how people with diabetes can stay active and eat well to ensure good health during the summer months.
The free seminar, part of Brunswick Community Hospital’s Focus on Health series, will be held in the Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation Community Room at 795 Ocean Highway in Shallotte. Light refreshments will be served at 2:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 2:45 p.m.
Dr. Church, who is board certified in family medicine, moved to the area nearly two years ago. Prior to relocating, she served as a family physician at Kings Daughter’s Family Care Center in Ashland, Ky. At Sunset Beach Family Medicine, Dr. Church offers a wide array of family care services for patients of all ages, from infant to senior, including care for acute and ongoing illness; school, sports and employment physicals; routine gynecological care, including pap smears and post menopausal care; and immunizations. Sunset Beach Family Medicine is located at 710 Sunset Boulevard in the Sea Trail Medical Center.
Registration for the seminar on July 16 is required. Call (910) 755-1125 to register or for more information.
