Brunswick Community Hospital to Present Free Seminar on Osteoarthritis

Supply, N.C. - At a free seminar on Thursday, April 15, Dr. Thomas Garland will share information on osteoarthritis, a condition that affects more than 20 million Americans. Also known as degenerative arthritis, osteoarthritis is the most common type of arthritis.
At the seminar, which is part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health series, Dr. Garland will discuss the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoarthritis. He will also answer some of the most commonly asked questions about the condition.
The seminar will be held at the Brunswick Electric Community Room at 795 Ocean Highway and will begin at 2:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
Dr. Garland joined Ocean Isle Family Medicine at 120 Causeway Drive in Ocean Isle Beach approximately one year ago. Dr. Garland is board-certified in family medicine, and he received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He completed his residency in family medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He has more than 25 years of experience as a family physician.
