Supply, N.C. - Are you tired of having shoulder pain? If so, Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon Michael Marushack, M.D., says you are not alone. He hears this sentiment from patients almost daily.
On Thursday, April 29, Dr. Marushack will present a free seminar on shoulder pain as part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health lecture series. The seminar, which will begin at 2:30 pm, will be held in the Southport Senior Center at 1513 N. Howe Street. Light refreshments will be served.
Whether it is the recreational activities we enjoy like golf and tennis or our work routine, our daily activities can often cause shoulder pain, says Dr. Marushack. At the seminar on April 29, he will share the most common reasons for shoulder problems and also offer some tips for how you can reduce the pain.
Dr. Marushack completed his undergraduate studies at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb., and received his medical degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing his orthopaedic residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., he completed a sports medicine fellowship in Birmingham, Ala. Dr. Marushack is a physician with Orthopaedic Specialists, a four-physician group that has locations in Southport, Supply, Leland, Sunset Beach and Carolina Beach.
Registration for the seminar on April 29 is recommended. Call (910) 755-1183 to register or for more information on the upcoming seminar.
