Supply, N.C. - At a free seminar on Friday, June 25, Dr. Eric Lescault will share information on one of the latest advancements in hip replacement surgery ??? direct anterior total hip replacement.
In comparison to traditional hip replacement, direct anterior total hip replacement offers a shorter recovery time, smaller incision, and less pain. The procedure also more accurately restores normal walking patterns after surgery and offers a much lower rate of dislocation after the procedure.
At the seminar, which is part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health series, Dr. Lescault will discuss what to expect before, during and after hip replacement surgery. The seminar will be held at the Comfort Suites Magnolia Greens at 1020 Grandiflora Drive in Leland and will begin at 12 p.m. A light lunch will be provided.
Dr. Lescault is nationally board-certified in orthopaedic surgery, and he is a member of Orthopaedic Specialists. He received his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME, and he completed his residency at Memorial Hospital in York, PA. Dr. Lescault then went on to complete his internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, and he is a veteran of the US Army.
Dr. Lescault and the physicians of Orthopaedic Specialists have offices in Supply, Southport, Leland, Sunset Beach, and Carolina Beach.
Registration for the seminar is recommended. Call (910) 755-1183 to register or for more information.
