Brunswick Community Hospital to Host Free Seminar on Female Pelvic Health

Supply, N.C. - In the United States, one out of every three women over the age of 45 experiences some form of urinary incontinence. Also, more than 30 million women of the same age suffer from pelvic organ prolapse, or the weakening of pelvic floor muscles or tissues.
Join Joseph Swaim, Jr., M.D., at a free seminar on Thursday, July 15, to learn more about the signs, symptoms, and solutions for female pelvic health issues.
The seminar, which is a part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health lecture series, will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Electric Community Room located at 795 Ocean Highway in Shallotte. Light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Swaim is a physician with Brunswick Women???s Center, which has offices in Supply, Leland and Calabash. After attending medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. Swaim performed his residency at Duke University Medical Center. He is also nationally certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
