Kelso to Present Free Seminar on ???Knocking Out Knee Pain???

Supply, N.C. - Do your knees ache? If so, join Thomas Kelso, II, M.D., Ph.D., at a free seminar on Thursday, September 16, to learn about arthritis of the knees and the treatment options that may help put the spring back in your step.
He will discuss the causes and cures at the seminar, which is a part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health lecture series. The seminar will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Electric Community Room located at 795 Ocean Highway in Shallotte. Light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Kelso, who has more than 12 years of surgical and medical experience, is the newest board-certified orthopaedic surgeon to join the team of Orthopaedic Specialists. He received his bachelor???s degree from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., and completed his doctorate in physiology at Washington State University in Pullman, Wash. He then attended medical school at the University of Maryland???s School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md., and completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va.
Orthopaedic Specialists has five locations in the area, and Dr. Kelso primarily sees patients at the Sunset Beach, Supply and Southport offices. The group???s other offices are in Leland and Carolina Beach.
