Supply, NC - It???s time to get some fresh air! At a free seminar on Thursday, November 18, Dr. Jeffrey Coury will share information on one of the latest breakthroughs in sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty.
Sinusitis is one of the most common chronic health problems in the U.S., afflicting 37 million Americans each year. Patients suffer headaches, congestion, fatigue and other symptoms that often impact an individual???s physical, functional, and emotional quality of life.
Balloon sinuplasty, which is a minimally-invasive procedure, uses a small catheter and balloon to quickly open and expand blocked sinuses. The procedure, which is now performed at Brunswick Community Hospital, offers hope for many patients suffering from sinusitis with a faster recovery and less post-procedure discomfort than traditional sinus surgeries.
At the seminar on November 18, Dr. Coury will outline the details of the procedure as well as the typical results patients can expect. Part of Brunswick Community Hospital???s Focus on Health lecture series, the seminar will begin at 2:30 p.m. at the Brunswick Electric Community Room at 795 Ocean Highway. Light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Coury specializes in otolaryngology, or ENT (ear, nose, and throat), and he practices at Coastal Carolina ENT. He is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, which is located in Philadelphia, Pa. Dr. Coury has offices in Supply and Whiteville.
Registration for the seminar on November 18 is recommended. Call (910) 755-1183 to register or for more information on the upcoming seminar.
